Complete lack of interest accompanies Senate elections

One week after the communal elections, with little over fifty percent of citizen participation, comes the second round of elections, with astonishing lack of interest.

Even though nobody expected any miracles or high interest, not even the president, the senate elections of 2014 broke a ten-year-old record of low participation. On average, the voting participation in these elections is little over sixteen percent. In fact the highest participation of this week, is still lower than the lowest participation of last week.
