Dangerous escalators at Můstek metro station to be repaired

Many of the escalators in the Prague metro stations have gone through repairs and inspections, due to recent injuries. But apparently some of the escalators are still flawed and possibly dangerous.

During November, three women were injured in a strange accident on escalators. According to the witnesses the stairs changed direction suddenly, causing most of the passengers to fall. Spokesman of DPP claims the fault is on side of Kone company, that makes the escalators. Recent inspections have pointed out, that many of the moving stairs in Prague might have flawed or nonfunctional parts in them.

Currently, the stairs are being repaired and further inspections are to take place any time soon.
