“The minimum wage in our country is very low and it does not allow a dignified existence for people working for it. I am very pleased that the government has approved increase by 700 crowns, starting next year. In the long-term, I believe that the minimum wage should be increased progressively to meet a motivational role compared to revenue earned from social benefits, ” said Czech prime minister Bohusalav Sobotka.
According to representatives of the Czech employers, minimum wage increase may have a negative impact on Czech companies.
