“Since today morning we responded to forty or fifty different places with weather related problems. Luckily there were no injuries or major damage,” says Martin Kasal, the spokesman of fire department in Karlovy vary. The wind had broken and torn a couple of trees from the ground and blocked a railroad track in the west of the Czech Republic, as well as several roads in areas, where the wind had stormed through. And the reports on fallen trees and weather related damage are still coming.
The meteorologists say that the speed of the wind might reach up to a 110 km/h.
A risk of floodings in the north is still rising and local citizens, along with the firemen are taking safety precautions and are preparing for possible danger.
