It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Prague's Old Town square. The annual tradition of the arrival of the large Christmas tree on the Old Town square happened again.Posted at 5:36 am on November 25, 2014 by Jan Uruba
Twenty-two meters tall spruce from Nespeky, small town of 500 inhabitants in Central Bohemian Region, arrived in Prague early on monday morning. The tree had been put into its place and it will be decorated until this Saturday. That is when the lighting of the tree is scheduled to occur during Christmas market.
Convoy transporting Christmas tree to Old Town Square arrived in Prague after 1 am. Nusle Bridge had been closed down for traffic to allow big rig to cross.
Christmas market at the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square will last until January 6th.
