Man stabbed to death on street in broad daylight, police searches for suspect

A 34-year-old man died after he was stabbed in Prague near Florenc metro station Thursday afternoon, police sources said. According to police, the victim was attacked after getting into a verbal dispute with another man who later fled the scene.

Incident occurred shortly after 1 pm. Police say, an attacker pulled a knife and stabbed victim during a verbal dispute.

Paramedic responded to the scene. After their efforts to revive him failed, he was pronounced dead.

Police are searching for the knifeman who fled the scene immediately after stabbing. A police chopper along with all available ground units has been deployed to search throughout the entire area.

The motive behind the killing is not yet known. According to the witnesses, both men were foreigners.

“The suspect is likely to be a citizen of a post-communist country. He is white, about 185 cm tall with a muscular build,” stated the Police.
