Man stabbed in neck on metro train, police searching for suspect

The police in Prague are searching for a suspect who fled from a scene after stabbing another man on board a B line train. Incident occurred in Invalidovna station Thursday morning shortly after 7:30 am.

“One man has been transported to a hospital with serious injuries,” confirmed Jiřina Ernestová, spokeswoman for a medical emergency service in Prague.

Police say that the investigation is currently in progress.

According to witnesses, attacker was a man aged between 30 and 40 years of age wearing blue jeans, red winter jacket, gray hoodie, brown shoes and was carrying red trekking backpack at the time of the incident. Police are advising people to dial 112 if they see or know this man.

The motive behind the attack is still unknown. An unidentified suspect faces up to 10 years in prison.
