Last year a woman had found a treasure full of medieval silver coins, worth more than a million crowns, in Cheb, city of 33 000 city in the Karlovy Vary Region. Up until recently, it wasn't sure if the woman receives any reward. The officials are to pay her 90 000 Czech crowns.Posted at 1:43 am on December 17, 2014 by Michal Citterberg
According to historians the treasure has a national significance. The discovery has proven that even though the coins from 13th and 14th century are Czech, they were not only used in the area of Bohemia, but even abroad. The coins are now in Cheb museum.
