Ski season in Czech Republic slowly slides into action

So far, the winter has been rather warm and there was almost no snow, but recent cold front quickly changed that. The weather is now cold enough that the technical snow won't melt, meaning the ski season almost ready to start.

Owners of ski resorts are preparing for incoming waves of tourists and their snow cannons are still keeping the ski runs covered. While some resorts still need few days to prepare, other places, like Lysá hora in Moravian-Silesian Beskids, are ready to go since they have – on average – around 12 centimeters of snow. Unless the weather gets warmer in the next few days, it should be a nice season.
