American Airlines Launches Daily Nonstop Flights Between Philly and Prague

The world's largest airline begins seasonal nonstop service between Prague and its Philadelphia hub. It is the second route between Czech capital and the east coast of The United States.

The first American Airlines airplane on the route was greeted in Prague Saturday morning.

Flights are operated using Boeing 767-300 aircraft in three class arrangement, providing more than 2 800 seat capacity weekly between the two cities.

The Czech ambassadors to the United States Hynek Kmoníček attended the gate event with Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and American Airlines executives.

By adding these new destinations, American continues its commitment to PHL as our hub carrier,” said Philadelphia airport CEO Chellie Cameron. “These new European destinations will enhance the options for passengers.”
