PRAGUE, April 20, 2024 — In an exciting update for history enthusiasts and tourists alike, the Czech government has announced that Beneš Villa will continue to welcome visitors six days a week in the upcoming season. This decision comes as a part of ongoing efforts to make national cultural heritage more accessible to the public.

Beneš Villa, a historical site nestled in the heart of Prague, has served as a key witness to numerous pivotal moments in Czech history. It was the residence of Edvard Beneš, the second President of Czechoslovakia, and has since been preserved as a museum that offers a deep dive into the country’s turbulent 20th century.

Following a successful trial of extended opening hours last year, the villa will open its doors to the public from Tuesday to Sunday each week. The extended access not only accommodates more visitors but also enriches the cultural and educational landscape of Prague.

This year, Beneš Villa in Sezimovo Ústí will continue to be open six days a week.
