Falling Wall Kills Man in Prague

Prague emergency services responded to an incident in Prague, where a collapsing brick wall struck and killed a 42-years-old man Saturday afternoon.

The accident occurred at Na Neklance street in Smíchov – a district of Prague 5 located on the west bank of the Vltava river.

Police confirmed one casualty.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation pending expert review. Weather is being considered a possible cause of the accident, including some strong winds that were whipping all Saturday. Bomb squad on scene ruled out the possibility of an explosion causing the collapse.

Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the location to mitigate the possibility of more victims being buried under the debris.
