Two Killed in Small Plane Crash

Two people were killed when a small plane crashed into the ground in the South Bohemian Region Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred Monday afternoon around 3 pm near Kundratice, a small municipality of about 200 inhabitants located 150 kilometers south-east of Prague.

According to Vendula Matějů, spokeswoman for FRS of South Bohemia Region, the airplane burst into flames after smashing to the ground. She confirmed that there were 2 casualties as a result of the crash and the fire.

The cause and course of the accident are both subjects of an investigation conducted by the Air Accidents Investigation Institute and Criminal Police and Investigation Service.
