Polling stations opened at 2 pm Friday and they will stay open until 10 pm. On Saturday, voters will be given chance to cast their vote between 8 am and 2 pm.

Voters can vote at their assigned precinct.

Expats from other EU countries with residency in the Czech Republic – including those living in the country on a temporary basis – who registered in advance at their local administrative office are allowed to vote in municipal elections as well. However, only little interest was shown as only a few thousand decided to register.

The second round of voting for the vacant Senate seats will take place on 12th and 13th October.
