The announcement came just a couple of days short of a one-year anniversary of the Qatar Airways’ first non-stop flight from Doha touching down in Prague.

Qatar Airways currently operates 2 daily flight between Prague and the capital of the State of Qatar – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The new route capacity will allow carrying about 75,000 passengers in both directions each year.

The daily afternoon flight to Doha will use a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with a capacity of 254 passengers.

The Airbus A320 with capacity for 132 passengers will be continued to be used to operate the morning flight.

Both the 787 and A320 are in a two-class configuration. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is the first airliner with an airframe constructed primarily of composite materials.
