Terror alert caused by bomb drawing on Prague-bound flight

A drawing of a bomb left in the bathroom on a Prague-bound flight sparked a full-scale terror alert and emergency evacuation Sunday night.

The plane was en route to the Czech Capital from Manchester in the northwest of England.

A flight attendant found a suspicious drawing portraying an explosive device in one of the airplane’s bathroom and alerted the flight’s captain. The captain informed the control tower and the police, Foreign Police spokeswoman Kateřina Rendlová informed.

According to the authorities, police bomb disposal unit carried out a security check after landing and no direct threat was found on board.

Prague Police Department is leading an investigation into the incident.
