A Sinister Plot Unfolds

Detox Inn follows the harrowing journey of Sandra, a young influencer seeking a “digital detox” in a remote Alpine hotel. What begins as a retreat quickly descends into a nightmare as Sandra discovers disturbing secrets about the hotel and its enigmatic owner. Directed by the acclaimed Andreas Elsener, known for his work on Monte Iato – La storia di uno scavo, this film is poised to deliver spine-tingling suspense and horror.

A Hometown Hero’s Return

Elijah Knight, whose roots trace back to the region, expressed his excitement about filming in his father’s home state. “What an honor to be shooting in my father’s home state. Just like the Hockey Club Davos at the Spengler Cup Tournament. I shall have home ice advantage on this shoot!” Knight exclaimed. His enthusiasm for the project is palpable, promising a powerful performance.

Cultural Support and Scenic Splendor

The film’s production is generously supported by seven cultural foundations from the canton of Graubünden, underscoring the region’s commitment to fostering the arts. This marks director Elsener’s third film shot in Graubünden, following Bounty for Bernadette and Druckabfall.

Knight’s Star Continues to Rise

Elijah Knight is no stranger to accolades. On June 14th, his award-winning performance as Radu in Dracula: Son of the Devil will premiere at the Quinnie Cinema in Berne. This gripping short film explores the legend of Vlad the Impaler, with Knight’s portrayal of Radu earning him the Best Supporting Actor award at the Best International Film Festival.

Recent and Upcoming Projects

Knight’s recent works include the thriller The Safe and the popular TV series Unbreak My Heart. In 2021, he was honored as Best Actor at the Couch Film Festival in Toronto. His theater credits are equally impressive, with standout performances in The American Dream, Die Glasspur, and the Swiss Army Comedy Show in Zurich. Fans eagerly await his role in the forthcoming TV series Miss Fallaci, directed by Giacomo Martelli, where he stars alongside Miriam Leone in a gripping portrayal of writer Oriana Fallaci’s life.

As Elijah Knight continues to expand his repertoire, his role in Detox Inn is set to further cement his status as a versatile and compelling actor. With a blend of stunning Alpine scenery and nail-biting horror, Detox Inn is sure to be a must-watch for horror aficionados and Knight’s fans alike.
