Czech aircraft manufacturer, Aircraft Industries, has initiated mass production of its new generation L410 turboprop airplane, termed “NG”. The modernization of this version spanned 7 years and incurred costs exceeding €22M.
The original 19-seater model was introduced in 1969, and since its inception, over 1,200 units have been produced. As per the company’s data, currently, over 350 L410s are operational across more than 50 countries. The aircraft is particularly favored in remote areas with challenging infrastructure and frequent adverse weather conditions.

The European Aviation Safety Agency awarded the Type Certificate for this model in December 2017. Following closely, the US Department of Transportation endorsed the new design type in January 2018.
Aircraft Industries asserts that the new generation boasts enhanced flight and operational features. Based on the company’s technical data, there’s a notable increase in the maximum take-off weight and nearly a twofold boost in the aircraft’s fuel capacity.
The NG model was unveiled at the MAKS airshow in Moscow the previous year, with its inaugural flight taking place on July 29, 2015.
