Swiss actor Elijah Knight has been confirmed to star in the new short film “Welcome to London,” directed by Martin David Edwards. The film, a romantic comedy, explores the lives of thirty-somethings grappling with social conventions and personal desires.

A Tale of Love and Secrets
In “Welcome to London,” Knight portrays Matthieu, who, along with his fiancée Veronica, visits his former best friend Luca, revealing layers of past relationships and hidden secrets. The film probes whether Luca will disrupt Matthieu’s impending wedding. “They realize they’ve put themselves into situations they aren’t necessarily ready for,” says Knight. The film will be shot in London’s Crystal Palace area and aims to serve as a pitch for a future feature film.
A Reunion of Friends
Knight will collaborate with his long-time friend and co-star Luke Lindemann, who is also the executive producer of the film. Their friendship dates back to their college days in St. Gallen, Switzerland. “It’s always nice when you get to work with people you appreciate deep down. So this is not just a movie. It’s also a reunion,” Knight reflects.
Exploring Personal and Societal Conflicts
Nabila Dolfini, who plays Veronica, shares insights into her character’s journey. Veronica, an aspiring artist from Lugano, faces the classic dilemma of motherhood versus career, compounded by her wavering feelings about marrying Matthieu. Dolfini notes, “Her dream of becoming an artist seems ever more distant as her relationship also takes an unexpected turn.”
Elijah Knight’s Recent Endeavors
Knight’s recent projects include the short film “Detox Inn,” directed by Andreas Elsener and shot in Engadin, Graubünden. The film follows Sandra, a young influencer on a “digital detox” in a remote Alpine hotel, where things quickly take a dark turn.
Knight also earned accolades for his role in “Dracula: Son of the Devil,” winning the Supporting Actor Award at the Best International Film Festival for his portrayal of Radu. The film chronicles Vlad the Impaler’s eternal quest for vengeance.
In addition, Knight embraced an adventurous lifestyle during a trip to Los Angeles, opting for an “Into The Wild” experience over luxury accommodations. He engaged in business meetings, acting sessions with career coach Deborah Meister, and worked on the thriller “The Safe” and the TV series “Unbreak My Heart.”
Fans can also look forward to Knight’s role in the upcoming Paramount+ TV series “Miss Fallaci,” based on the life of writer Oriana Fallaci, starring Miriam Leone and directed by Giacomo Martelli.
