On Friday, November 3rd at 10am, the US chain Popeyes will be welcomed into the Czech Republic for the very first time with their typical New Orleans cuisine being added to the local fast food establishment. Guests to Popeyes’ initial opening can find the restaurant at Wenceslas Square, situated inside the remodeled Fashion House (formerly Dum mody).
This neo-functionalist design was constructed by Josef Hruby during the 1950s, rising up from the ruins of an apartment building that had been demolished by a WWII German air raid.
Those with a preference for poultry-based dishes can take pleasure in the two-story 700 square meter eatery which is directly facing rival KFC. Czech citizens have the opportunity to savor a unique dining experience inspired by the American South, including Cajun fries, a traditional American biscuit, and the renowned Chicken Sandwich.
The planning and preparation for this Czech introduction has taken almost a year. Marko Blazevic, the Brand President of Popeyes Czech Republic and Poland, express his anticipation of the visitors’ amazement as they try the range of tastes Popeyes has put together. Then, the company will launch two more restaurants, one in Brno and the other in the vicinity of the main city.
As of now, Popeyes runs 4200 restaurants across over 40 countries. Blazevic also claims with certainty that the restaurant on Wenceslas Square would be the most busy Popeyes restaurant all around the globe.
