Premiums rise by over 6% in Czech Republic – Business Insurance

In the Czech Republic, the insurance sector has witnessed a significant increase in gross written premiums, which rose by 6.4% year-on-year to reach 107.8 billion Czech korunas (approximately $4.6 billion) in the second quarter of this year. This data, provided by the Czech National Bank, indicates a robust growth in the industry. Interestingly, the data also revealed that claims paid by local insurers decreased by 10.5% year-on-year to CZK53.2 billion, with 67% of these claims related to the non-life insurance sector.
